From location Banostor on the Fruska Gora, Serbia. The vineyard facing north-west and situated near the river Danube. Grapes are hand harvested on the 31. August. Spontaneous fermentation, aging in inox and three month in aged barriques. Low sulphur wine.
Opaque, orange coloured powerful wine.
Rich fragrance of dried apricots, ginger, rose water and tropical fruits.
Equally rich and full in the mouth, with firm citric freshness and taste of ripe tangerine.
In the long endnote there are mildly hot tones of white pepper, Turkish delight and freshness of pineapple.
Definitely a different kind of traminer wine.
Not heavily perfumed with the usual staggering lychee aroma, this one is riding on wild horses of persistent acidity, burned incense, red grapefruit, ginger and rocket fuel.
