Furmint 2020

The vineyard of Furmint was planted by Oszkar Maurer in 2010 on the Fruška Gora mountain, close to the border between Serbia and Croatia and next to the river Danube. Fruska Gora mountain is a 500 million years old formation, made up of volcanic bedrock and covered with marine sediment. The rich and unique terroir generates piercing acidity and astonishing minerality in the wine.
Furmint 2019 had short maceration and barrel aging, is a low sulfur unfiltered and unfined wine with wonderful haziness. Full white wine with intensity in the nose, rich in flavors, tones of yellow apple and apricot and special undertone of honeycomb thank to botrytis in part of the grape.
