Distilled specialty, pure and soft in taste produced by Rajal Distillery, a family owned distillery where tradition and knowledge combined create one of the best Serbian Quince brandies.
Rajal Rakija is of first distillate and made without added yeast, sugar or unnatural additives. The production process begins at the right moment of harvesting the quinces, when they have reached their full biological maturity. Quince is a pome fruit, related to apples and pears. Ripe quince is bright yellow and looks like a fuzzy, short-necked pear with a unique and intense fragrance that can perfume all room. As raw fruit it is too hard, sour and astringent to eat, but the whitish-yellow flesh cooked or processed quince is highly versatile. It is used for jams, cakes and the local variety of the Spanish Membrillo, called Kitnikez with attractive pink-reddish colour. But most quinces go to the valuable quince brandy, so called Dunjevaca.
In Serbia and surrounding countries on the Balkans there is always an opportunity to drink Rakija, as it is a versatile drink for any occasion or festivity, for happiness and celebration of friendship.
